Nurse. 21. Sometimes, I just feel so intellectual at few things. But most of the time, I feel plain clueless about stuff.

Photography. Pokemon. Relationships. Classics. Sci-fi. RPGs. Ze internet. :)

So yeah, expect posts about Nursing and health in general, with an equally healthy dose of Photography, reblogs, and anything deemed artsy.

Finally done with our research poster to be submitted to EvidenceLive 2013.
If this gets approved, we’ll be invited to present our group’s undergrad paper at the University of Oxford next March. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for this.

Ha! FB friend just pointed out that the first image is actually a t-shirt design! You can take a look at it here.

FINALLY. The day of freedom. The day of recognition.

My bestfriend Bayani delivering his Valedictory speech.

Thank you to bestfriend Jhe for giving me five golden seconds of wearing that “Best in Clinicals” medal. I personally think this honor surpasses the Latin honors since it really shows who the best nurse at the bedside is.

Seminar, again.

  • It’s Monday again. It means another seminar at the college, entailing N121.1 students to wear corporate attire again. And for me, it’s one sweaty hell of an LRT ride from EDSA to Pedro Gil station.
  • Seriously, our professors should stop assuming that we live in condos a couple of blocks away from the college.
  • The morning was spent on them grilling our thesis proposals. I was in a bad mood by the end of it. Really bad. Hey, we submitted our proposals a couple of weeks ago and yet they didn’t return it with their comments. GAH.
  • It’s times like these that make me want to teach in the college and do things the way they should be done.
  • Nonetheless, the seminar in the afternoon lightened up my cranky mood.
  • Dr. Louie Mar Gangcuangco, the author of Orosa-Nakpil, Malate, was one of our speakers for the event.
  • It’s also times like these that I become inspired to take up Medicine.
  • It’s also times like these that I just want to sleep.

Our group will be holding a seminar this Monday afternoon about the Nurse’s Role on Disaster Preparedness. It will be held at the Seminar Room (2nd floor) at the UP College of Nursing.
We have invited a couple of speakers to share about the trends and issues regarding the said topic.
I still have no idea what to wear for the event. “Corporate” attire, as they simply describe it.
I just hope that this will be a successful one. We get graded for this, you know. -_-

My notebook for my N121.1 duty requirements, the inspiration for my blog’s name. It’s just the third week of duty and I’m already on the 100-page mark.

It’s a love-hate relationship. Your grueling antics and endless piles of work can be annoying for some time, but the knowledge you give and the wisdom you stir up in me will never go away.
Thank you, UP College of Nursing, for those seven semesters of nurturing the scholarly mind, the caring heart, and the skillful hands. Make this semester the best one since this will be the last… hopefully. :)

I’m back.

Sorry for the lack of posts during the past few weeks. Paperworks on Psychiatric Nursing flooded my desk (and life) during the second half of the semester. It was a great learning experience, despite the information overload from reading up a lot of classical and contemporary theories on human behavior. For that, my brain had somehow regressed during the school break and has thus been unproductive for some days.

Endless hours were then spent playing Dragon Age: Origins and browsing random things on the internet as a form of compensation to that one serious business of a semester. Kotaku, io9, CollegeHumor, Facebook, and, of course, Tumblr were visited daily. How I wish I had better PC specs to make the game run in better graphics. :/

This idleness, however, will be finally put to an end. Earlier, I had myself enrolled for the last time at the college *fingers crossed*. Only two subjects, but perhaps the biggest challenges I will ever meet in this course. N121.1 will be about being a head nurse and being a staff capable of taking care of around 8 clients, while N121.2 will be concerned with taking care of the whole community with a partner. :|

I’ve missed you guys! Hope to hear from you in the weeks to come. :)
