He wasn’t dyspneic during my shift and was trying to be...

This week, I found out that:
Doing your clinical papers on a notebook is faster than typing them in your laptop. Handwritten requirements = no distractions. I also get to know my patients better. Writing seems to help retain information in my head rather than typing them. Interpreting labs and diagnostics is fun. It’s not mere numbers of RBCs, WBCs, or ABGs, it’s about how the patient’s condition can be...

No school days are fun, right? Wait until you read... →
chrisfourteen: So now, I don’t dream big anymore. They say one should always dream big since dreaming is free anyway. But the bigger the dream, the greater the disappointment when it does not come true. Too bad that I had to be rejected first before I realized this.

Discovered in the rainforests of Borneo, this fungus happens to be unique in that it behaves much like a sponge. So unique, in fact, that the researchers who found thought, “Let’s name this little guy after a cartoon!

RH Bill and Maternal Health
Back in our sophomore year, where Maternal Health Nursing was one of our subjects, we had our duty in the OB-Gyne Ward. The place was usually full, sometimes accommodating other patients by placing mats on the floors when all beds and stretchers were occupied.  Most of the patients were not well-off and had to seek financial/medical support from organizations. It’s a sad thing, really,...

Smile
We’re a bunch of happy people, sporting smiles that tell a lot about our selves despite all the academic pressures put upon us. Maybe because that’s the way things really are - no matter how heavy the load is, a simple smile will push those worries away. We can do this, UPCN Batch 2012. :) [Nikon D40, 50mm f/1.8 lens]

Mom’s pretty much enjoying looking for her long-lost childhood friends via Facebook. Sure enough, she found quite a lot of them. The marvels of the internet really stretches through generations, re-connecting bonds that have been obscured by time.
